Amy + John | Maternity

First let me say - Amy is so bright, beautiful and filled with laughter.  We  had been counting down the days for her maternity session for what seemed like forever.

The week of her session rain was anticipated.  I reached out to her on Monday to let her know and set up a backup plan just in case - we decided Monday would be our backup date if anything, but she was already dilated and this was her fourth so she was worried she wouldn't even make it until Saturday.

On Saturday we kept in contact all day, constantly checking the weather and hoping there wouldn't be any rain happening.  Our session was scheduled for 6:30 - so at 5:30 we checked in and IT WAS RAINING.  We chatted a bit and decided to brave the rain and head out anyways.

When we got to Cibolo Nature Center it was BEAUTIFUL.  Slightly overcast, cool, a small breeze and nobody was there except us.  We went into the creek and the sun peeked through the trees leaving beautiful light for us to shoot in.  I begged Amy to let me shoot her in the tall grass and so we got some shots out there and joked about all the walking she did and how the baby would be coming that night.

The next day Amy texted me that she did in fact, have her baby that night!

Thankfully we braved the rain and celebrated her pregnancy with these beautiful images.
